And, finally, the 34-year-old strutted alongside Dolce & Gabbana”s Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in her simple black Camarague sheath dress, retailing for a cool $2,153.25.

Beckham’s latest foray into fashion – following the 2006 launch of her dVB denim and sunglasses collections – has been a resounding success in both the US and her native England.

[lang_en]David Beckham insists this has everything to do with soccer and nothing to do with fashion and celebrity.

The 33-year-old midfielder also acknowledged on Saturday that playing for AC Milan on loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy is a gamble.

Beckham, a former star for Manchester United and Real Madrid, said the move fulfills his dream of playing with a top Italian team and his goal of staying in shape during the MLS offseason in an attempt to keep a spot on England’s team.

“I wouldn’t take this opportunity if I didn’t think that I could help the team and help the club,” Beckham said during his introductory news conference at San Siro Stadium. “There are some great players out there. I don’t expect to be starting on the first day because it doesn’t happen that way.”

England coach Fabio Capello has said it is not enough for Beckham to train with AC Milan — he must also play to be considered for the national team.

“That is exactly the right thing a manager should do,” Beckham said. “If any player is not playing in a team or playing at a top level, then playing at an international level is virtually impossible.”

Beckham is bringing plenty of celebrity buzz with him to Italy. He is married to fashion icon Victoria Beckham and the player himself has done underwear ads for the Milanese designer Armani. Beckham said Milan’s status as a fashion capital did not enter into his decision.[/lang_en] (more…)

[lang_en]The Italian talk-show host reportedly at the centre of a row between David and Victoria Beckham has denied that her interview with the England international was vetoed by the player’s wife.

Speaking on Saturday night Ilaria D’Amico said: “I saw that story and it was rubbish. There was no truth in it all. I don’t really want to say anything else about it.”

When asked if she had met Victoria she said: “No. I interviewed David and he was very nice. He was very gentle and very agreeable. He was not a diva at all.

“He told me that Milan was a beautiful city and that he would be living here and any future decisions about the family coming to Milan would be taken together.

“He told me that for the time being the children would be staying in LA with Victoria.

“I have followed David’s career for years and he is a wonderful player with a wonderful right foot.”

On Saturday night Beckham and his wife were due to have dinner at the AC Milan restaurant Giannino along with club chief Adriano Galliani and the rest of team Beckham.

The fashion designer won’t be able to escape the carbohydrate as she and her soccer star husband David Beckham will be living in Italy while David plays for AC Milan.

A source said: “She needs to give our national dish a try. What could be better than nice spaghetti or tortellini?”

The soccer star was greeted with a warm welcome at AC Milan’s San Siro stadium when he was unveiled on December 21.

He insists his wife can’t wait to set up home in the fashion capital.

The couple, who have been living in the US since David began playing for the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team last year, arrived at London’s Heathrow Airport with their three sons Thursday.

David and Victoria were both sporting trilby hats as they left the airport. Victoria teamed hers with sunglasses, a grey mac, ankle boots and an oversized bag, while David opted for a more casual look by matching his headwear with jeans and a leather jacket.

Their sons Brooklyn, nine, Romeo, six, and three-year-old Cruz looked suitably dressed for the chilly temperatures, with the younger two boys wearing heavy hooded jumpers.

Earlier this week, it was reported David and Victoria had been arguing about where to spend the festive period this year.

Friends claimed the 33-year-old soccer star wanted to return to Britain for a traditional celebration with their families, while former Spice Girl Victoria, 34, was keen to stay in Los Angeles.

A source said: “Victoria has had so many British Christmases and wants to have the Hollywood version. She feels it would send out the right message to American fans and celebrity pals that they’re happy and willing to spend their holidays in their new home.”[/lang_en]

[lang_en]Victoria Beckham has made it clear she will not allow husband David, who is joining Serie A side AC Milan on a short-term loan deal, to be interviewed by Ilaria D’Amico, ‘Italy’s sexiest sports presenter’.

The couple are due to arrive in the northern Italian city on Saturday for Beckham’s official unveiling at the San Siro stadium.

Reports in the Italian media claim that Victoria has ruled against Sky Sports presenter D’Amico having any part in her husband’s introduction to his new public.

Organisers had initially intended to have D’Amico interview David as part of a special feature on the couple but, at Victoria’s insistence, will instead undertake a more formal press conference.

The reports claim that the changes were made ‘at the request of the Beckham camp’ after Victoria had ‘researched Ilaria on the internet’. (A simple Google search suggests why ).

D’Amico first made a name for herself in sports media when she appeared on La Giostra Dei Gol and since then she has covered the 1998 World Cup in France and hosted a Uefa Cup special.

[lang_en]Police say no charges will be filed after they investigated allegations of theft from David and Victoria Beckham’s British mansion.

Three people, two of whom had worked for the celebrity couple as housekeepers, were arrested in October. British media reported that the arrests came after some of the couple’s possessions — soccer memorabilia and dresses — were spotted on an Internet auction site.

Hertfordshire Police said Wednesday that after consulting with prosecutors, no charges will be filed in the alleged theft from the mansion in Sawbridgeworth, northwest of London. They said the “injured party” was aware of the status of the case, but provided no further details.

A spokesman for the Beckhams did not immediately return a call to The Associated Press.[/lang_en]

“She hates the look of the big ugly lumps, as well as the pain.”

Image-conscious Victoria is desperate to cure the painful condition on her own otherwise she faces a painful operation, which would mean she would have to stop wearing her favourite shoes.

The source added to Closer magazine: “She really wants to avoid surgery as it’d mean she’d be out of heels for months. The thought of wearing flats during that time terrifies her.”

Victoria has even taken to wearing shoes a size too big in order to give her ravaged feet more room, and is obsessed with getting her toes in top condition in time for summer.
