Dolled-up Posh joins David on the sideline

IT WAS a breathtaking match of style, flair and nimble footwork.

And Brooklyn Beckham did well too — even though mum Victoria’s striking designer outfit left her lad sidelined.

Posh played the ultimate soccer mum when she watched Brooklyn, nine, and Romeo, six, practise in an LA park.

She put other parents in the shade when she turned out in £300 Aviator sunglasses, chic black top and £175 jeans from her own dVb label. And balancing on her £500 Christian Louboutin heels demanded pin-point accuracy as they kept sinking into the soft turf … and you can see here on video.

An onlooker said: “It was hilarious watching her. Her choice of footwear was astonishing. Her high heels kept getting stuck in the mud.

“But she still looked fab and got a lot of admiring glances from the other parents, especially the dads.”

David, 33—dressed down in a plain white T-shirt, grey tracksuit bottoms and shades— watched impassively while Victoria, 34, barked orders at the boys. The onlooker added: “It was great to see Posh so animated. Sarah Palin claimed hockey moms were pitbulls with lipgloss, but she’s got nothing on Posh’s brand of soccer mom.

“She was shouting from the sidelines as if it were a cup final rather than a practice kickabout in the local park.”

Victoria’s appearance for the beautiful game was capped off with her trademark ‘Robocop’ black hat, an expensive gold bracelet and watch and a £1,000 Chanel designer quilted bag.

Victoria and David shared a tender moment as they embraced on the touchline.

The onlooker said: “They were very touchy-feely.”

And if that was Posh’s goal, she pitched the look just right.

The Spice Girl turned fashion designer was caught leaving Claridges Hotel in London.

She is in the country to launch her new clothing line, which took place at department store Selfridges earlier in the day.[/lang_en]

Victoria Beckham has denied she, and husband David court media attention. “We lead our lives in a much more low-profile way than people think. I’m not going to The Ivy in Beverly Hills. I don’t think I’ve been to a premiere since we moved there,” she told The Times.

“We’re not courting fame. I can give you a list of numerous restaurants that have underground parking so no one can get any photographs. I don’t really care what people think. I never made friends easily. For years, when I was in the Spice Girls, those were my four best friends. Now I’ve got David.”[/lang_en]

“They’ve all got their own headed notepaper for thank-you letters,” Posh tells London’s The Times about her boys: Brooklyn, 9, Romeo, 6, and Cruz, 3.

“People are always remarking on how well-behaved the boys are.”

Beckham, 34, attributes her appreciation for etiquette to some lessons learned from her own parents. “My mum and dad were real sticklers for good manners and so are me and David,” she said.

She also says she shoves aside newspaper speculation about her life, claiming she doesn’t “read the stuff” written about her.

“I’m not interested in gossip,” she says. “Some of the people that I’m friends with in America – you know, Tom [Cruise] and Katie [Holmes] – they get it, too, and we laugh about all these stupid things.”[/lang_en]

Rather she said they shared the same method of visualisation for achieving their goals.

Just as ‘Golden Balls’ pictured a goal and then scored, she said, the chef visualised a delicious meal and then cooked it up.

Speaking about how she had increasingly used visualisation techniques since moving to California, where Beckham plays for Major League Soccer team LA Galaxy, she said: “I was talking to Gordon Ramsay and David about this the other day, and they’re the same.

“Gordon visualises a meal, then figures out how to prepare it. David visualises the goal.”

She used the same process to work out what costume she would wear the next day, she told The Times.

“I’ll lie in bed and think, what kind of look do I want to go for tomorrow? Then I find the pieces in my mind to create it.”

Gordon Ramsay might even have developed such techniques from the football field: he trained with Rangers in Glasgow as a teenager before a knee injury ended his fledgling sporting career.

The British shopping public ratified Victoria Beckham’s successful debut as a fashion designer at Selfridges yesterday. The presence of her name on the shop floor alongside such greats as Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano was quite an achievement for a designer who unveiled her first collection of dresses just three months ago. More impressive still was the fact that by 3pm on its first day on sale only three dresses were left unsold.

Beckham and her backer, Simon Fuller, have sought to maximise the excitement that has surrounded The Dress Collection since it launched to unexpected rave reviews at New York fashion week by limiting production in the first season to an extremely exclusive 400 dresses worldwide. Gossip about whether Beckham had expert help from Roland Mouret in designing the collection – an accusation both she and Mouret have repeatedly denied – has served only to fuel interest.

Selfridges, which bought 58 of the dresses, has exclusive selling rights until next month, when dresses go on sale in Harrods, as well as Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus in the USA, and Restir in Tokyo. Selfridges has received 17 dresses so far, which it split between its London and Manchester stores.

Remaining on the rail yesterday afternoon were one strapless, hourglass evening dress in a size eight – retailing at a cool £1,920 – and two simple black silk sequined shifts with soft fabric belts, in sizes 12 and 14, for £1,390. While Beckham was mid-flight home to America, a waiting list had already begun for styles arriving in February.[/lang_en]

[lang_en]Posh Spice has revealed that she follows a simple exercise, dress, and makeup routine that turns her into ‘Victoria Beckham’.

For the mum of three, looking good is an important aspect of her life, and she makes sure that she is seen at her best whenever she goes out, though she admits while at home she does not mind dressing down.

“It’s funny. I go to the gym now,” People magazine quoted her as telling January’s Harper’s Bazaar, which goes on sale December 16.

“I run four miles a day. Then I go into hair and makeup, and I turn into ‘Victoria Beckham’.

“I’ll try on all my dresses, and I’ll pick out a handbag, and I’ll put on the shades. I instantly turn into this person, and it sort of feels like a character. And there are so many pictures of it … But it’s a true character because it’s still me,” she said.

While in the house away from the paparazzi, Beckham, 34, does not really bother with her looks.

“I run around the house in a tracksuit sometimes,” she stated.

Posh even admits that she has started lightening up after she was put down for her patented pout, dubbed as the “Blue Steel” look.

“I have started smiling … I’ve mastered this smirk; it’s a smile that isn’t a smile,” she added.[/lang_en]

[lang_en]Victoria Beckham says she and her famous BFFs – Katie Holmes, Eva Longoria Parker and Kate Beckinsale – love to joke about crazy pregnancy rumors.

“You get a little water retention; it’s not news,” Beckham, 34, says in the January issue of Harper’s Bazaar. “Me, Katie, Eva and Kate always joke about how one of us is allegedly pregnant, but no, we’re just a little bloated today! None of us is pregnant.”

But that doesn’t mean Beckham wouldn’t like to have more kids. Already mom to three boys – Brooklyn, 9; Romeo, 6 and Cruz, 3 – she says she’s ready for a daughter.

“I’m such a girl’s girl,” she says. “I walk into my closet and go, ‘Crikey!’ To one day hand that down to another girl….”

She also opens up about her “very disciplined” diet.
