[lang_en]Victoria Beckham’s lingerie run[/lang_en]

[lang_en]Victoria Beckham Armani Underwear ad

Victoria Beckham ran nine miles a day for six months to slim down for a sexy lingerie shoot. The 34-year-old former Spice Girl – who is frequently criticised for being too thin – reportedly embarked on a strict exercise regime in preparation for an intimate Giorgio Armani underwear shoot.

A source said: “Like any woman, she’s conscious of her body, so she worked really hard to get into optimum shape.” It seems all her hard work has paid off – Victoria appears lithe, toned and athletic in the tasteful black and white shots, wearing nothing but a black polka dot bra and thong and black high heels.

Armani, who is good friends with the couple, praised Victoria calling her “a stylish and intriguing woman”. The singer – who has three children with soccer player husband David – reportedly hates stripping off for the camera, but couldn’t refuse the 12 million deal.

A source said: “Posh vowed never to do an underwear shoot again but the offer by Giorgio was too good to turn down.” The film-noir style images were shot by renowned photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, who also took the photos of David for his Armani campaign last year.

The Los Angeles Galaxy player caused controversy when his advertisement was unveiled, with some critics claiming the images had been airbrushed to make him appear well-endowed.[/lang_en]

[lang_en]Talentless actress Victoria Beckham[/lang_en]

[lang_en]Victoria Beckham can’t act.

The former Spice Girl – who appeared as herself in US sitcom ‘Ugly Betty’ and ‘Spiceworld: The Movie’ – insists she will never pursue a permanent acting career, because she doesn’t have the necessary talent.

Victoria – who lives in Los Angeles with husband David and their three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz – said: “I really don’t want to act. I’m probably the only person living in Hollywood who can’t act and doesn’t want to act. I’ve found fashion and that’s really what I want to do.”

The 34-year-old star also criticised actors and actresses for complaining about their jobs.

She said: “‘Ugly Betty’ was fun, but it was really just me making fun of myself. But what a great job – I was sitting in my trailer reading magazines thinking, ‘OK, I’ve got to be ready in 10 minutes. I’ve got great hair, great make-up, great clothes and I’m like, ‘This is a great job!’ Anybody who says it’s hard because of the hours is making a fuss.”[/lang_en]

[lang_en]Beckham fashion range ‘too old’[/lang_en]

Posted By Gabi on January 17th, 2009

[lang_en]Victoria Beckham’s fashion range is for “older women”, Girls Aloud band member Cheryl Cole has said. Skip

Cole recently spoke of her disappointment that her Wag friend did not get in touch after allegations that Cole’s husband Ashley had been unfaithful surfaced.

And in an interview with a newspaper, Cole was asked what she thought about Beckham’s fashion line.

She described it as for “older women”.

Her Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh interjected, saying: “She means older than us! Not, you know…”

“Yeah, it’s not like stuff we would wear,” Cole continued.

Cole and Posh bonded during the 2006 World Cup.

But speaking to a magazine about her disappointment at Beckham not getting in touch after the infidelity allegations broke, Cole said previously: “I mean, David’s mum is friends with Ashley’s mum, she (Beckham) was in my hotel room the whole time during the World Cup – we’ve had barbecues together – so I was quite shocked by that.”

In that interview, Cole also spoke up for Beckham, saying “it’s not fair the way the press pick on her”.[/lang_en]

[lang_en]A musical moment for MacBecks and Poshoria

By Mark Simpson

Of all the places in Europe you might expect a stage show about David and Victoria Beckham to open, Dublin would be one of the last.

Yet it seems the Irish are just as fascinated by the Posh and Becks story as the English, Spanish, Italians and even the Americans.

Opening tonight at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre is a production which plays on David Beckham’s “Shakespearean qualities” of fashion, comedy and footballing tragedy.

Filled with missed penalties, flying boots and dodgy haircuts, it’s called MacBecks and is based loosely – very loosely – on the Scottish play.

Theatrical cocktail

With lines like “Is this a stiletto I see before me?”, it is unlikely to attract Shakespearean purists.

But it was only a matter of time before the story of the Beckhams was turned into a stage play.

Poshoria is accompanied by the “Spice Witches” in the production

Their relationship has been one of the great celebrity romances of our time, and there is no shortage of material in a theatrical cocktail of sex, soccer and singing.

One of the writers, Malachy McKenna, says the Irish have closely followed the tabloid lives of the Beckhams.

“Everybody does. If you go out into Dublin and buy 50 magazines, they are going to be in 40 of them. They are a global phenomenon.”

It is not quite Romeo and Juliet, but the writer says the Beckhams should be applauded for staying together in the face of adversity.

“They are a testament to the love story. They get media attention every day and they’re still together. That’s the thing we should remember.”[/lang_en] (more…)

[lang_en]Now, Jordan says Posh no good at offering support over cheating beaus[/lang_en]

Posted By Gabi on January 17th, 2009

[lang_en]After Cheryl Cole’s rant, ex-glamour model Jordan has accused Victoria Beckham for not lending a shoulder after she found out about her cheating beau.

Cole had apparently said that Victoria had not been around to comfort her when she found about hubby Ashley’s extra-martial affair, despite the former Spice Girl facing a similar situation with her footballer-hubby David Beckham.

And now, Jordan, born as Katie Price, revealed that her ex singer-pal repeated the same behaviour with her by showing no concern her ex-beau Dane Bowers cheated on her.

“When I knew Victoria, I was going out with Dane Bowers. He cheated on me and she didn’t offer me any support,” the Sun quoted Jordan as telling OK!.

“It turns out Dane was actually sh*gging her mate, so that was the problem,” she added.[/lang_en]

[lang_en]Beckham gifts Victoria expensive bag[/lang_en]

Posted By Gabi on January 17th, 2009

[lang_en]England football star David Beckham has bought his wife Victoria a very expensive bag as a gift.

The bag costs nearly what he makes in a week, thesun.co.uk reports.

A source said, “It’s not as easy as everyone would think for David buying his missus a present every year. She is the woman with everything. But David knows the French fashion house is her favourite and he sorted the gift in Los Angeles from one of the few powerful fashion buyers who could get one.

“She was delighted, a relief at that price.”

Customers normally would have to wait close to six years to get one of those Birkin pieces.[/lang_en]

[lang_en]Beckham’s ancestor was a scavenger[/lang_en]

Posted By Gabi on January 17th, 2009

[lang_en]Census data reveals that David Beckham is the descendent of a scavenger while one of Amy Winehouse’s immigrant ancestors was a humble fruit seller.

Forms from the 1911 census, which is online, show that the multimillion pound fortunes of the footballer and pop star would have been unimaginable to their forebears.

The documents shows that Beckham’s great-great-great grandfather, John Beckham, born in 1846, was employed by a London borough council as a scavenger, while his great-great-great grandfather William Beckham, born 1870, was working as a cart or van driver.

William lived with his wife Harriet and seven children in a house in Walworth, south London, at the time the census was carried out. His eldest daughter Martha, 19, was working as an artificial florist and his second eldest, Mary, was employed as a dressmaker. Two of the 10 children born to William and Harriet had died by 1911.

Winehouse’s background was similarly lacking in grandeur.

Like many European Jews, her maternal ancestors emigrated from Russia to London in the 19th century and were living in Spitalfields, east London, in 1911.

Abraham Grandish, born 1855, worked as a hawker selling fruit while his daughter Fanny, born 1895, was employed as a waterproofer. Her four younger siblings all attended school and a sixth child had died.

Debra Chatfield of findmypast.com website, which digitised the documents, said: “We knew Beckham and Winehouse had backgrounds in England and Wales so we did some research into their families to find out who their ancestors were.

“We used public records, birth, marriage and death indexes, to trace their parents and grandparents. It’s a relatively simple exercise.”

Beckham and Winehouse have not been told of the discoveries made about their ancestors’ identities, she added.[/lang_en]

[lang_en]No more shoes for Victoria Beckham[/lang_en]

Posted By Gabi on January 3rd, 2009

[lang_en]Former Spice girl Victoria Beckham has vowed to get rid of her addiction to shoes because she is running out of space to store them.

Victoria, who is considered a fashion icon, has complained that she is fast running out of closet space to store her huge collection of footwear.

Contactmusic.com quoted her as saying: “I just adore them (shoes) but I’ve bought so many. And I only really wear them a few times. My shoe wardrobe can’t contain any more, so it’s becoming a bit of a joke. I think I need to draw the line somewhere and lose some shoes.”

[lang_en]Victoria Beckham’ lawyer dream[/lang_en]

Posted By Gabi on January 3rd, 2009

[lang_en]Victoria Beckham wants one of her children – sons Brooklyn, nine, Romeo, six, and three-year-old Cruz – to become a lawyer.

The former Spice Girl – who has three sons, Brooklyn, nine, Romeo, six, and three-year-old Cruz, with soccer star husband David – is keen for one of the boys to enter into the legal profession in order to save her money.

She said: “I’d quite like one of them to become a lawyer. Although I don’t care what any of them does as long as they are happy. But it would definitely be useful to have a lawyer in the family – me and David would save a fortune!”

However, it seems unlikely any of the boys will follow in their mother’s footsteps and become a pop star.

Victoria, 34, recently revealed none of her sons will listen to the Spice Girls’ albums.

She said: “Brooklyn just loves The Beatles. I can’t get him to listen to any of my records, though!”[/lang_en]

[lang_en]Posh helped Becks design his new tattoo[/lang_en]

Posted By Gabi on January 3rd, 2009

[lang_en]Contrary to reports that football ace David Beckham’s wife Victoria was furious at him having yet another tattoo, news stories now suggest that the latter actually helped her husband design the body art.

According to latest reports Beckham’s new tattoo, Posh not only helped Beckham choose the words, but also lent her fashion-savvy eye to the design as well.

The new design is in Hebrew. “My son, do not forget my teaching but keep my commands in your heart,” the Mirror quoted it as reading.

This tattoo is said to be a partner piece to another Hebrew etching on Beckham’s arm, which says: “I am my beloved and my beloved is mine.”

David’s quite the fan of exotic scripts. He has got Victoria’s name tattooed on his arm in Hindi.
