The colour’s purple: Victoria Beckham just can’t put her new favourite handbag down.

Victoria Beckham has a vast collection of handbags, but this purple Hermes Kelly bag must be a particular favourite – she has been seen with it twice in as many days.

Or perhaps in a period of huge recession Victoria is simply showing she knows the value of thrift.

For while most women have only a few bags at their disposal the former Posh Spice has a collection of hundreds, and is rarely seen using the same one twice.

Her recycling of the bag comes the day after she arrived in London wearing an almost identical outfit to one she was snapped in last November.

Today Victoria wore an all-black outfit with skintight trousers up bearing zips up the inside of her legs and the obligatory high heels as she left Claridge’s in London’s Mayfair to go to her office.[/lang_en][lang_en]

But although her Kelly bag is undeniably beautiful it has plenty of competition for it’s prominent place on Posh’s arm.

Bag lover Victoria has hundreds of Birkin bags, dozens of Kelly bags and regularly experiments with other brands.

The highlight of her collection is an £80,000 diamond-studded silver special edition Himalayan Birkin, one of only three in the world. It was a Christmas present from her footballer husband David.

Yesterday, as Victoria arrived at Heathrow airport from Milan, where she had been visiting husband David, she carried a purple Kelly.

Back in November as she arrived from New York she chose a three-coloured Kelly to set off her outfit.

The previous night, the Air Miles Queen had been enjoying a dinner date with her husband and his team-mate Paolo Maldini and his wife at La Risacca restaurant in Milan.

Her £2,500 knee-length optical illusion dress was said to be a present from her close friend and designer Alexander McQueen.

But the trendsetter wasn’t the first to wear it – a fact she probably knew – as author Sophie Kinsella had slipped on the same number to attend the premiere of Confessions Of A Shopaholic in New York last month.
