[lang_en]Former Spice Girls singer Victoria Beckham dressed up in five-inch heels as she went out with her children at the Universal Studios in Los Angeles.
Victoria was hobbling in her shoes while her sons were more appropriately dressed to have fun, reports dailymail.co.uk.
One onlooker said: “Victoria’s feet looked almost out of shape. Her toes were squashed down at the bottom of the shoe and her ankles were forced forward. The shoes even look like they were too big for her. There was a huge gap at the back.”
The family was visiting the theme park for fun and games where people usually wear jeans, trainers and baseball caps. But Victoria was dressed in a sleek black dress, oversize sunglasses and favourite Louboutins. [/lang_en][lang_en]
Victoria Beckham always puts glamour before comfort.
Not even a fun day out with her three young sons can coax 34-year-old Posh out of her five-inch Christian Louboutin heels.
Yesterday, the Mirror showed her poor feet crammed into skyscraper stilettos as she took Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz around Hollywood’s Universal Studios at the weekend.
But just how much is Victoria suffering in the name of style?
To find out we challenged Essex mum Chloe Webb, 27, to step into Victoria’s shoes for just one day.
Looking after five-month-old son Jameson and running the family home while her property developer partner Mark Sophocleous, 28, is at work means that Chloe is run ragged at the best of times.
Even without a pair of killer heels to keep her on her toes all day…
8am
Slipping on the Louboutins feels amazing. As I work my way through the ironing I’m literally towering over the ironing board. But trying to comfort my tired son Jameson while balancing on these heels is no mean feat. Much respect to you, Victoria. Although I doubt you do your own ironing.
8.20am
I load up the dishwasher and, after just 20 minutes in my Louboutins, my poor old feet are starting to ache ever so slightly. But I’m determined to see this one-day challenge through. If heels are good enough for Posh…
11am
I take our dog Tank out for a walk but it’s more him walking me than the other way round.
As Tank bolts ahead pulling on the lead I stumble along trying to remain upright.
Any shred of elegance and dignity has now gone right out the window.
I reckon I’m lucky not to have broken my ankle at this rate. It would be so much easier if I had my normal comfy trainers on. These babies make it just about impossible to go walkies without risking breaking my neck.
2pm
Time for a spot of food shopping, so I teeter off to the supermarket with Jameson fast asleep in his pram. Ouch! By the time I’ve tottered round the aisles I’m seriously hobbling.
Just a couple more bits and pieces to put in my basket, but I’m on the verge of giving up.
As I limp to the checkout I can’t help the grimace on my face.
3pm
Shopping done, I head gingerly for the street. Ouch!
No wonder Posh wears those huge sunglasses all the time, they’re obviously to hide the agony etched all over her face.
I push a sleepy Jameson in his pram round the corner to my mum’s house for a much needed cuppa.
I’m beginning to wish someone could wheel me about for a little while, too.
On the bright side, I hope I will have Posh’s killer calves by the end of today.
5pm
I’ll tell you what I want, what I really, really want – a chance to put my weary feet up. Ahh! Finally I can wiggle my tootsies.
My calves ache like I’ve had the most strenuous workout ever. Victoria must have no nerve endings left in her feet. Slippers, here I come![/lang_en]
