But maybe Victoria Beckham is keen to make savings in other areas, as unusually, the fashionista wore the same outfit for the whole day – even choosing to stay in it to cheer husband David on at Wembley.

She certainly got her money’s worth from the cream dirndl miniskirt, and sheer top which earlier in the day generated headlines all of its own.

You would expect Victoria Beckham to be less than happy to find that her husband was regularly phoning a stunning brunette – but it seems Posh has no problems with David’s growing friendship with her close chum Kate Beckinsale.

David, 34, regularly phones British-born Hollywood star Kate, 35, when he is in Milan so he can check up on how his wife is coping in Los Angeles.

‘David often calls Kate while he’s away to make sure Victoria is OK and that she’s eating and looking after herself,’ I’m told.

‘He knows she can get down when they’re not together. Kate is the perfect person to give him an update on Victoria when he’s not with her. Victoria knows they speak and thinks it’s sweet.’

David Beckham has told of how much he missed his wife and children while playing football in Italy.

The England star has been on loan at AC Milan since January, while Victoria and their three sons have remained in the United States.

“There are sacrifices I have made to be in Milan and play for AC Milan,” he said.

“I haven’t seen my children for six or seven weeks and that’s the biggest sacrifice I have had to make.

“Not seeing my family, not seeing my wife.

“I know there are many people with many jobs that do that but it doesn’t get any easier, doesn’t matter who you are.”

Beckham has missed his eldest son Brooklyn’s tenth birthday party and youngest son Cruz’s third birthday whilst being in Italy.

However, he promised that his future is back in Los Angeles with his family, playing football for LA Galaxy.

“I’m very committed to the Galaxy and like I said before I want to see the game grow in the US,” he said.

“I believe there is huge potential for the game.”

Beckham will fly back to the US after his involvement in England’s upcoming World Cup qualifying matches.

According to People.com, the soccer star will remain in Italy until the season ends in May, but he will then head back to the states to finish out his deal with the L.A. Galaxy. Beckham has been playing for Italy’s team, AC Milan, on loan from the Galaxy, on a kind of timeshare agreement.

By the time he returns to the Galaxy, the U.S. soccer season will be well under way. Once that season ends, though, Beckham will head right back to Milan. While living at George Clooney’s home on Lake Cuomo, Beckham made it clear that he doesn’t want to leave Italy, mainly because playing on such a high-level team will increase his chances of winning a spot on England’s national team.

However, his desire to stay in Milan doesn’t mean that he and wife Victoria are ready to leave Los Angeles. The Beckhams love their life in the U.S., and their three children are quite happy at their school.

The new design is in Hebrew. “My son, do not forget my teaching but keep my commands in your heart,” the Mirror quoted it as reading.

This tattoo is said to be a partner piece to another Hebrew etching on Beckham’s arm, which says: “I am my beloved and my beloved is mine.”

David’s quite the fan of exotic scripts. He has got Victoria’s name tattooed on his arm in Hindi.

The former Spice Girl had apparently told the soccer superstar to stop adding body art to his already heavily-inked frame, but he couldn’t resist squeezing another onto his left arm.

A source said: “Victoria doesn’t think David should have anymore tattoos and tried to stop him having another. She likes them but wants a bit of his skin to be left, but David went ahead with it anyway.”

The tattoo – which was created by his regular artist Louis Malloy – is a biblical proverb written in Hebrew which reads: “My son, do not forget my teaching but keep my commands in your heart.”

It accompanies another Hebrew phrase on the same arm which translates: “I am my beloved and my beloved is mine”. Victoria has the same tattoo.

David, 33, is known for his obsession with tattoos and his upper body is covered in etchings.

He has Victoria’s name in Hindi, the number seven – his shirt number for Manchester United and England – in Roman numerals, a guardian angel across his back and a Michelangelo angel on his right arm.

Victoria, 34, is said to be worried her husband is addicted and won’t be able to stop adding tattoos to his already impressive collection.

The source added to Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “She is worried he is hooked and she doesn’t know where it will all end. He is a very healthy guy. He doesn’t smoke, barely drinks and looks after his body very carefully. But his outside is far from clean.”[/lang_en]
