IT’S official: VICTORIA BECKHAM is huge in America.
The former SPICE GIRL-turned-designer topped the list of US Elle magazine’s best selling issues of 2008, shifting 413,000 copies.
Posh blew the competition out of the water, outselling homegrown cover star CARRIE UNDERWOOD by around 160,000 mags.
But it was ANGELINA JOLIE who reigned supreme as the magazine queen – her Vanity Fair cover sold over half a million copies.
At the other end of the scale, Oscar winning actress HILARY SWANK only inspired 27,000 people to fork out their change when she fronted the mag.

[lang_fr]Non, non, ce n’est pas une blague, mais une révélation faite par Kate Beckinsale, qui est voisine avec Victoria Beckham à Los Angeles. L’actrice révèle que Posh, loin des flashs, n’a rien à voir avec la femme austère que nous connaissons.
Interviewée par Elle, dont elle fait la Une – sur laquelle elle est d’ailleurs radieuse (voir article)- Kate Beckinsale fait une révélation pour le moins surprenante : Victoria Beckham a le sens de l’humour. Mieux : “Elle adore se moquer d’elle-même, ce qui est une très bonne chose selon moi”, confie la star.
Drôle et même capable d’autodérision Posh ? Ca pour une révélation, c’est une véritable bombe ! Les deux femmes rient beaucoup ensemble, et Kate est fan de la ligne de vêtements lancée par sa voisine : “Je porterais volontiers l’une de ses robes, à condition bien sûr de réussir à y rentrer!”.
Voilà qui change un peu la vision que nous avions de cette chère Victoria Beckham… Peut-être décidera-t-elle un jour de nous faire partager son extraordinaire sens de l’humour. She added: ‘Victoria’s line of dresses is fantastic and I’m really proud of her. ‘I’d definitely wear one of them, provided I could fit my bum into it!’ Kate who battled anorexia as a teenager also told how she is now happy and healthy. She said: ‘I am a lot more body confident now I’m in my thirties and am in better shape, too.’[/lang_en]
