[lang_en]VICTORIA BECKHAM believes she is “blessed” – and insists she never reads stories about herself for fear of ruining her happiness.

The former Spice Girl claims she is “really happy” with her life – and is adamant she takes no notice of rumours about her and soccer star husband David. And Beckham reveals that the couple’s movie star pals Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are similarly dismissive of stories in the press.

She says, “I’m just really happy. I wake up every morning and I think I’m so blessed. I don’t read the stuff that’s written about us. I’m not interested in gossip. “Some of the people that I’m friends with in America – you know, Tom and Katie – they get it too and we laugh about all these stupid things.” [/lang_en]

[lang_en]Victoria Beckham says she and her famous BFFs – Katie Holmes, Eva Longoria Parker and Kate Beckinsale – love to joke about crazy pregnancy rumors.

“You get a little water retention; it’s not news,” Beckham, 34, says in the January issue of Harper’s Bazaar. “Me, Katie, Eva and Kate always joke about how one of us is allegedly pregnant, but no, we’re just a little bloated today! None of us is pregnant.”

But that doesn’t mean Beckham wouldn’t like to have more kids. Already mom to three boys – Brooklyn, 9; Romeo, 6 and Cruz, 3 – she says she’s ready for a daughter.

“I’m such a girl’s girl,” she says. “I walk into my closet and go, ‘Crikey!’ To one day hand that down to another girl….”

She also opens up about her “very disciplined” diet.

“It’s funny; I go to the gym now,” she says. “I run four miles a day.”

Before events, “I go into hair and makeup, and I turn into ‘Victoria Beckham.’ I’ll try on all my dresses, and I’ll pick out a handbag, and I’ll put on shades. I instantly turn into into this person, and it sort of feels like a character. And there are so many pictures of it…But it’s a true character because it’s still me.”

She dolls herself up anytime she leaves the house.

“If I go to the supermarket looking like s–t, that affects my work. I am selling an image,” she says. “Plus, I have fun with it.”

She adds that she is learning not to have a scowl on her face all the time.

“I have started smiling,” she says. “I’ve mastered this smirk; it’s a smile that isn’t a smile.” (She looks angry sometimes, she explains, because she’s “had so many things said about me over the years, like a public bullying.”)

Meanwhile, she says her nine-year marriage to David Beckham is going well.

“We’ve had a lot of ups and downs,” she admits. “I love him more now than when I first met him.

“Back then, there was a certain innocence,” she says. “I look back and think if only I knew then what I know now. I’ve toughened up a lot.”[/lang_en]

The couple joined the actress’ husband Tom Cruise in the fifth row at New York’s Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on Thursday to watch a performance of All My Sons.

Former Spice Girl Victoria said the play was “fabulous” whole soccer ace David agreed the theatre production was “really good”.

A source said: “Tom clapped really loud and laughed when Katie came on stage.

“They were really into the play. Right at intermission they darted out so no one could come up to them. A lot of people didn’t notice they were there until intermission.”

Batman Begins star Katie – who has recently said she would like to continue her theatre career when the play finishes its run in January – acknowledged her husband’s presence from the stage.

A source added: “When Katie came out at the end she looked at Tom and smiled at him from the stage. It was really cute.”

The Beckhams are in the Big Apple staying with the Cruise clan over Thanksgiving (27Nov08), and they all stepped out on Wednesday to check out a performance of Holmes in Broadway play All My Sons.

The sight of the superstars arriving at Manhattan’s Schoenfeld Theatre created a frenzy and one female photographer tripped up as she stretched to get a picture – prompting the chivalrous Beckham to step over to help her to her feet.
